Fhandi and G'yr

Fhandi leaned up against Wenaveth's emerald hide, scratching her dragon's eyeridge softly. It had been just a few sevendays ago that Wenaveth's first clutch had hatched, her tiny clutch of six eggs. The best part of all to Fhandi, who had matured from her childish 12 Turns at Impressment to a strong-willed young woman of 15, was that G'yr had stayed her weyrmate for more than just those few months. Jyvadoth had arrived right before Wenaveth's virgin mating flight, but the large blue had miraculously caught the tiny green.

G'yr... She smiled blissfully. I don't see what you find so attractive about G'yr, Wenaveth commented. Jyvadoth is much better.

Fhandi chuckled slightly at her dragon's comment. "Well, Jyvadoth doesn't exactly appeal to me, darling." Her thoughts were once again brought back to G'yr as her cream firelizard, Cale, blinked from between and landed on her shoulder. She'd been a gift from her weyrmate as a sort of thanks, and Fhandi loved Cale, not just because she was such a beautiful firelizard, but because she represented the love between Fhandi and G'yr.

Chimi and Oceanarnia came where Fhandi and Wenaveth were sitting on the water's edge at the Tarizal weyrlake, both chittering for attention. The brown, blue, and cream firelizards all curled up contentedly in her lap, creeling softly.

"Wenaveth?" Fhandi asked the green as she looked at the three firelizards. "Do you think that Jyvadoth will catch you in your next mating flights? Most greens have differant blues and browns catch them differant times..."

I think that he will, Wenaveth replied smugly. Although you shall just have to wait, won't you? Fhandi smiled again, brushing back her dirty-blonde hair that had darkened in her three years of being at the Weyr. "I'll wait," She replied, smiling. "Don't worry."
