"Felathith, I do wish that you'd stop that," Seharia groaned inaudibly as the gold spun around in the air, the endurance of a gold obvious in the way that she could spin without resting. Felathith had ended up a small gold, almost as small as her bronze brothers.
But I want all of the browns and bronzes to notice me! The gold replied indignantly. After all, how am I supposed to get them to notice me if I don't draw attention to myself?
As Felathith landed on the order of the Weyrlingmaster (who had an unpleasant look on his face) Seharia unbuckled her riding helmet and turned sharply to her gold. "Felathith, I can promise that they notice you because you're one of the only three golds here at Cincanta. You might be a weyrling, but they notice you."
But Tarizal only has one other gold, Felathith complained, and Seharia sat back to watch one of the bronzes take to the skies. And they also have four bronzes. Not very many browns, but enough bronzes could take care of that...
Seharia had to fight back a chuckle. "Well, darling, I didn't know that you liked the attention of browns as much as you do bronzes," She smiled. "But I suppose. Although queens that are caught by browns don't lay a queen egg, you know."
Felathith turned to look at Seharia with her faceted eyes. That doesn't mean that I can't be caught by a brown one time and bronzes the next.
"Felathith, I think that you'd better cross that bridge when you get to it," Seharia chuckled. "It's an expression, Elath," She added at the gold's confused look. "You'll understand it when you're older."

Felathith gently landed in the Weyrbowl of Tarizal, not appearing tired in the least. "Okay, girl, let's go and speak to the Weyrwoman, alright?"
With a cry, Tekka landed on her shoulder. "No, Tekka, you aren't forgotten," She assured the little brown. "We'll find some food for you. How would that do?" With a chirp from the firelizard, Seharia strode back towards the Weyrhall. "Elath, stay right there," Seharia warned as the gold looked up at one of the bronze's weyrs. "I'm serious about this." She then turned back towards the weyrbowl, and bumped into a young woman who only appeared to be a few Turns older than she was. Although Seharia was pretty sure that she was a greenrider, her eyes flew to the knots, just in case...
"Weyrwoman, I'm Seharia, rider of the gold Felathith. I requested a transfer here, and I was wondering where I should stay," Seharia said.
"Oh, Seharia!" The young Weyrwoman exclaimed. "Oh, don't worry, we haven't forgotten you," She chuckled. "Call me Welasia, though. Now then-where you should stay. I'm not going to put you in the Weyrling barracks. You're going to have leadership training with S'zal and Sernath. He might only be a wingsecond, but he could handle wingleader positions easily. Your weyr will also be right next to his- the one that your gold is staring at."
Seharia thanked the Weyrwoman, then turned back to Felathith with a groan. Just her luck- she was going to have to be trained by a bronzerider whenever Felathith was going crazy all over bronzes. She gave Felathith the signal to rise up, and she did so. Sernath has invited us to his weyr, Felathith informed her rider. It would be very rude to refuse, don't you think? She asked coyly.
"Fine," Seharia sighed. "Go." The gold turned away from the empty weyr that she was heading for and towards one who's ledge was occupied by one of the largest bronzes Seharia had ever seen. She dismounted from Felathith, then turned to go inside and introduce herself. Before she could do so, a young man that looked to be about 20 Turns to her 16 strode out of the weyr.
"I suppose that you're Seharia?" He asked, brushing his short-cropped brown hair away from his face. "I'm S'zal. I was told about you, and I suppose that you wouldn't mind if we started training tomorrow? If you're settled, of course, goldrider."
Seharia smiled slightly at the handsome bronzerider. "Yes, that'd be great," She replied. "Tomorrow." With that she headed back to Felathith, and mounted the gold. Perhaps being trained by a... No, this bronzerider wasn't such a bad idea...
