Hill Harper brings intelligence and humor as the lovelorn "Theo," who looks for love in all the wrong places. Harper began acting at the age of 7 and continued through college where he graduated magna cum laude from Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Harper earned two graduate degrees from Harvard University with honors, one in law and one in government while a full-time member of Boston's Black Folk's Theater Company, one of the nation's oldest and most respected African American traveling theater troupes.

Upcoming films include The Visit, opposite Phylicia Rashad; In Too Deep, opposite Omar Epps; and The Nephew, produced by and starring Pierce Brosnan. He also appeared in Jonathan Demme's acclaimed feature Beloved. Harper received accolades for his performance in Miramax Films African-American romance HavPlenty (Dramatic Competition, 1998 Sundance Film Festival).

Harper's film credits include major roles in two Spike Lee films - He Got Game for Touchstone Pictures opposite Denzel Washington; and Get on the Bus, where he plays "Xavier," a young film student who videotapes the Washington, D.C. Million Man March. Other film credits include Kathryn Bigelow's Strange Days and Zooman, the critically acclaimed Showtime feature starring Louis Gossett, Jr. and Charles S. Dutton. Also to his credit are Full Court Press with Ellen Burstyn, Blankman with Damon Wayans, Steel, Pumpkinhead II, Little Black Panther, and the critically-acclaimed One Red Rose, which he also co-wrote for Showtime.

Harper was featured in the CBS mini-series Mama Flora's Family that aired in the Fall of 1998. His other television credits include a series lead on the UPN Network comedy/drama Live Shot as well as guest star on numerous series including ER, N. Y.P.D. Blue, Murder One, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Walker, Texas Ranger, Sweet Justice, and Married.. With Children.

Harper's stage credits include appearing in off-Broadway productions of Your Handsome Captain, Freeman and David Mamet's American Buffalo.
