Apparently the Cypriot song for Eurovision 2003 has been chosen internally. A 3 member jury chose the song on February 2nd. The song will be aired on Saturday night on the show "Efharisto Savatovrado" which will be broadcast at 16:15GMT on Cyprus Sat.

The song is called 'Feeling Alive' and was composed by Stelios Constanta and at the moment seems to be entirely in English. Stelios will be a special guest at the Greek National Final on 26th February

CyBC have launched a competition for songwriters to send in their songs. The deadline for submissions is January 20th.

Marios Skordis told EurovisionHeavenUK "A 3 member Jury of experts will decide which song is to be the entry behind closed doors around February 4th.Only the winning candidate and the 2 runner ups will be announced. No other names will be disclosed. There will neither be a National Final. The songwriter/lyricist HAVE to be of Cypriot origin/nationality/citizenship.For the performer this is not a must."

But once again no national final

Marios Skordis, the man in charge of the Eurovision Song Contest for Cypriot broadcaster CyBC has announced that the Cypriot representative for Eurovision 2003 will be chosen internally. The song will be announced some time in January 2003.

Rumours are going around that a couple of well known Cypriot singers are in the running but nothing can be finalised yet. We will just have to wait until January 2003
