The song 'Never In A Million Years' has been disqualified from participation in the British national final, Song For Europe. It will be replaced by 'Every Stop Of The Way', by Level Best.
The reason for this disqualification is that Zee brok rule 11 of the ASFE rules, wich states that 'Song entries must not be published or commercially released as a recording before SFE 2002'. Never in a million years has already been published on an Hungarion compilation album released by Interplay/Flort Records. The dance album sold about 2,400 copies.
'Every Step Of The Way' became fifth in the Radio 2 vote and therefore was chosen to replace Zee.
Here are the eight songs that were played on Terry Wogans show on BBC Radio 2 on Friday 1st February 2002 at 08.30GMT.The winning songs are in red that go on to the ASFE finla on March 3rd.
