Barnstable High Class of 1978
Updates for Barnstable High Class of 1978
February 2007 Update
A couple of items to pass along:

1. If things go according to plan there will be a Barnstable High 1978 website upgrade and a new website address shortly. This will be in conjunction with plans being hatched for a 30th Class Reunion. We can't release any more details at this point as too much excitement can cause people in their late 40's to keel over but watch your email! With the 30th Reunion looming in our headlights it is time to get out the Rogaine, Propecia, TrimSpa, Slim Fast and Botox. A few bottles of Geritol wont hurt either (what is in that anyway?) For those on the Cape that want to get in shape for the event I am hearing lots of good things about the gym that opened at the Centerville Shopping Center. New equipment and very safe since a lot of the Barnstable Cops train there. Also there is a Dunkin Donuts next door for apres workout reward. Plus you are above ground opposed to the subterranean workouts at Dunfey's and Golds Gym.

2. Go to this page in the Barnstable Patriot that has a pic of a guy named John Ehret. Was this dude a math teacher back in the day? Website: http://www.barnstablepatriot.com/news_news_12.html

3. Just a reminder that donations in memory of 78 Grad Kelly Garland can be sent to:

MSPCA, 1577 Falmouth Rd., Centerville, MA 02632.

4. Anyone get tickets for the Police Concert at Fenway Park? That will be an awesome show. Parrotheads will be at Gillette Stadium in September. Not sure which is less painful...listening to an entire Jimmy Buffet concert or cutting your toes off with a butter knife.

5.  Got some time to kill? Read the Newsletter from Barnstable Town Hall:

6. The Oscars have been handed out but here are the top 3 movies for 2006 as voted on at the BHS 1978 website:

-------1. Beerfest 2. The Break Up 3. The Ringer

7. Happy St Pats Day !!!!!

John Ehret was a math teacher. I remember having him for geometry in 74-75 with construction going on for the new library going on right outside the window.
