Name: Bear Fighter Alignment: Republican Registration Number: RHI-6 Height: 6.8 Meters Length: 12 Meters Weight: 45.6 Tons Top Speed: 200 Kilometers per Hour Weapons: Twin 80mm Cannons, Six-Shot Mortar Launchers, Hardened Alloy Claws Special Abilities: None A definite one-of-a-kind, the Bear Fighter is truly original design and has one of the most peculiar abilities of all Zoids. The mark of the Bear Fighter is its ability to go from Quadraped Mode (on all fours) to Bipedal Mode (standing on hind legs) and back again to deal with whatever is thrown its way. However, the Bear Fighter loses about 10 kilometers per hour when in bipedal mode, because of the slightly flawed stance. The beauty of it is, the Bear Fighter's body structure is rather simplistic, so it can transform in relatively no time at all, and can even transform when on the move, which can be especially useful when closing in on a target for hand-to-hand combat. As far as weaponry goes, its decently armed, however, sadly, it cannot make use of both in either mode. It's fairly heavily armored, though, much like other Republican tankish Zoids. A sad point about the Fighter, though, is, being simplistic, it has less maneuverability than most other Zoids would have. Best used for pilots who want a change from the average Zoid, or beginners. Weapons: Twin 80mm Cannons: The Bear Fighter's cannons are nothing special. Semi-automatic, firing standard shells, with decent power and damage. They're most useful in Quadruped Mode; when the Bear Fighter is in Bipedal Mode, the cannons are forced into an upward position, thus making them only really useful against targets that are overhead. Even if the cannons could somehow pivot down far enough to fire against ground-based targets, they'd be firing into the Bear Fighter's own head, which would be really bad, for both Zoid and pilot. When in Quadruped Mode, the cannons can not be pivoted, due to the design of the weapon mount, but they are able to rotate almost straight upward. Six-Shot Mortar Launchers: Built on the Bear Fighter's chest, these have a magazine of 30 mortars, including the six already loaded, for plenty of explosive damage before having to reload, which takes approximately 2 to 3 seconds. Can only be used in Bipedal mode, since, in Quadraped mode, the launchers are facing the ground... launchers are also on a fixed position on the Bear Fighters chest and therefore, have no turnable arc. Hardened Alloy Claws and Teeth: The most basic of all Zoid weaponry. Deadly-sharp fangs and rows of equally sharp teeth adorn the Bear Fighter's mouth while its paws contain nasty, nasty claws of their own. Used for up-close-and-personal combat, in the dirtiest; most feral type of combat known. Good for ripping and shredding away all of your opponent's unwanted armor. |
