The Gator hails from all the way back to the fallen Zenebas Empire. It's quite fast and very well-armored, designed for tactical support, from just behind the front lines, while still being able to defend itself from sudden assaults.
The Gator has a relatively low profile, and its spines make up fully half of its height. Hitting this thing isn't the easiest task in the world. In addition, it has a fairly thick plate of armor, comparable to a Zoid more than twice its size. Thus, it's designed to take a licking and keep on ticking. Unfortunately, its armaments aren't quite so impressive, but it would be foolhardy to take the Gator lightly because of that.
Weapons:
10mm Pepperbox Beam Gun:
This small, seven-barreled pepperbox gun is the sole weapon available to the Gator. It fires small-bore energy bolts, but it fires seven all at once, thus clustering multiple hits in the same area, which can add up very quickly. It's important to remember, though, that the pepperbox gun is fixed forward, being mounted on the front of the spines.
Executing Special Abilities:
Communications Jamming Array:
Located in the Gator's spines, this device is controlled from the cockpit. While activated, the Gator's array disrupts all enemy communications; from the ability to call in a transport, to disabling the Shadow Fox's multisensors or the Iron Kong's ability to transfer sensory data. Of course, it also blocks any other form of communication, including the ability to communicate with Blox. Though deadly in effect, the array can be stopped simply by destroying the Gator's spines (although that's not the easiest task in the world). The jamming effect has a 2 kilometer radius. The Gator is able to selectively allow certain frequencies, thus friendly Zoids can still communicate with each other and their Blox.
