Name: Stealth Viper Alignment: Republican Family: Snake Registration Number: RZ-020 Height: 3 meters Length: 20.8 meters Weight: 23.64 tons Top Speed: 180 km/h Weapons: Dual 40mm Machineguns, Dual 20mm Laser Machineguns, Dual Twin Rockets, Twin Multi-Purpose Missiles, Hardened Alloy Fangs. Special Abilities: Steam Vents, IR and Noise Suppression Equipment The Stealth Viper is very quick and agile, like many small Zoids. However, it differs in that it is also fairly well-armed, and can easily hold it's own against larger Zoids if used properly. It has the ability to burrow underground to escape enemies providing that the earth is loose, and its lack of appendages makes it hard to target any one point to slow it down as well as giving it more flexibility. It also has inate stealth abilities which make it difficult to detect given the right conditions, and is equipped with heat sensors in its mouth. Unfortunately, it also has several disadvantages. The first being the fact that it has an extremely light armor plating, rivaling the Guysack, and thus it is not capable of taking much damage. Luckily, it is able to slither around obstacles fairly easily, due to its flexiblity, but it comes at a cost; it's sheer length makes it a sizeable target to aerial attackers. Weapons: Dual 40mm Machineguns These are located on either side of the Stealth Viper's head. They're fully-automatic, roughly 8 shots per second, and are capable of inclining 180 degrees, allowing them to hit targets in front of, above, or to the rear of the Stealth Viper. Although they can't pivot outwards at all, the Stealth Viper is so flexible that this is a non-issue. Dual 20mm Laser Machineguns These are located on either side of the Stealth Viper's body, just in front of the main center "box". They operate much like the 40mm machineguns, except for the lighter caliber, and the fact that they fire bolts of energy rather than bullets. Dual Twin Rockets Behind the center 'box' are two rocket launchers, one located on either side of the Viper. As the name suggests, there are two rockets in each launcher. These are hard to use properly, due to their positioning on the Stealth Viper's body, and could potentially hit the Viper itself. However, they're capable of inclining 180 degrees, allowing them to be fired upwards or to the rear with little trouble. Twin Multi-Purpose Missiles Located on the Stealth Viper's tail are two missiles. The missiles are equally capable of hitting surface and air targets, but only if they're behind the Viper. Of course, behind is a relative term when talking about the Stealth Viper, as it's flexible enough to point its tail in nearly any direction. Capable of locking on target much like virtually every missile in existence; in fact, they almost have to be locked, due to their positioning. Hardened Alloy Fangs The Stealth Viper is a snake, and like all snakes, it has a pair of very nasty fangs. These fangs pierce armor like a natural snake's fangs can pierce a human's skin, thus giving it a fairly nasty bite. Executing Special Abilities: Steam Vents The Stealth Viper has steam vents all over it's body. At the command of the pilot, steam is released from the vents in all directions of the zoid and permeates the immediate terrain. This hinders the opponent's sight and conceals the Viper for as long as the steam is there. Infrared and Noise Suppression Equipment Like the Helcat, the Stealth Viper comes equipped with IR Dampeners and Noise Suppressors, making the zoid impossible to track via radar and allowing it to travel with a minimal amount of sound. This equipment is always active. |
