Name: Warshark Alignment: Imperial Registration Number: EZ-040 Height: 4.2 Meters Length: 17 Meters Weight: 32.2 Meters Top Speed: 65 Knots (Underwater) Weapons: 40mm Pulse Beam Gun, Torpedo Launcher, Dual 80mm Beam Cannons Special Abilities: None The Warshark was originally designed for water and desert use. Interestingly enough, the Warshark is outiftted with variable boosters that use two different systems, one to boost in sand and the other to throttle in water, and suprisingly, its speed is slightly more efficient when under soft surfaces. Packing exceptionally thick armor for its class, though it lack it in a few key areas, it's well armored for its size, and there's no question it can be an effective missile when used properly. The Warshark is well adapted for many more uses than just burrowing, with multi-purpose fins as well, it's even capable of over-land combat, though this is meant mostly as a recovery tactic, actually fighting above ground would probably mean death for the Shark. It should also be noted, the Warshark is one of the few burrowers that cannot change direction quickly, nor move backwards. It's important to note that the Warshark is best used to quickly skim above and below the surface when fighting aboveground Zoids in sand or dirt, to allow it to keep its momentum and thus not get caught aboveground accidentally. Compared to many other Zoids its size, it's not hard to say it has royalty in terms of armaments. Though when going up the big ones, if caught, this thing is in BIG trouble. Heck, if it's caught by anything, this small fish is pretty much in the frying pan. Please note that ZBC regulations do not allow the Warshark to remain underground for more than two consecutive rounds, due to concerns about the pilot's safety from the pressure of being underground. Weapons: 40mm Pulse Beam Gun Mounted inside of the Warshark's mouth, this weapon is a powerful yet difficult weapon to use. The Warshark must bring its head above the surface, with its jaws wide open for it to fire. If the warshark is under water, it can fire this weapon with jaws open through the water as well. Torpedo Launcher This back mounted weapon is one of the main weapons of the Warshark. Formed up of 8 tubes on its back the warshark can fire a total of 16 torpedos from this weapon (two in each tube). This weapon can be fired underwater, up through soft surfaces (mainly sand, harder surfaces like dirt would cause them to explode if fired from to deep underground) or above the surface. Each of the torpedos is slightly more powerful then a standard surface to surface missle, approximately one and a half times. The downside is, being torpedoes, they cannot hit aerial targets, and they're somewhat sluggish. On land, targets can evade them without extreme difficulty. Also, under most sandy surfaces, they can't be used from more than 4 meters under. Dual 80mm Beam Cannons Mounted forward facing on each of the Warshark's side tubes (used for underwater and surface movement). These weapons are the most powerful mounted to the Warshark, capable of firing from underwater, underground, or above surface. These beam cannons have massive destructive potential for breaking away thick armor. However, the Warshark must be upward facing its enemy in order to use these, and it must be less than 6 meters underground in order to use this is, and cannot be used in the same spot, otherwise glass would jam the firing mechanisms, or, depending on how the glass forms, deflect it and refract it into the own beam cannons and possibly do further damage. Hardened Alloy Tail Fins The most basic of all Zoid Weaponry, in tail form. Used for up-close-and-personal combat, in the dirtiest; most feral type of combat known. Good for ripping and shredding away all of your opponent's unwanted armor. However, the Warshark's fins are awkward in design, as the tail must be extended upwards, otherwards the booster would collide with the target, as well. Really best when the Warshark is against other burrowing Zoids or diving overhead. With the Warshark's powerful tail, it can hurt if used right. |
