The Zabat was designed as a multi-purpose Zoid, capable of performing bombing runs as well as dogfighting. However, it excels at neither task; the Pteras tends to be a better bomber due to a larger payload, and the Redler is slight faster and more maneuverable. And that says nothing of the Storm Sworder or Raynos. However, the Zabat has one big advantage over the other aerial Zoids; it is extremely durable, with a considerable amount of armor on its body for its size, making it very difficult to shoot down. Additionally, the Zabat uses a form of magnesser technology for its wings, allowing it better maneuverability than a purely visual observation would suggest; not to mention making the wings tougher to take out.

The Zabat is equipped with very heavy cannons for its size. These give it a considerable amount of striking power; however, since they're standard cannons, they're not really suited to aerial combat. They're located in the joint of the Zabat's wings.
Heavy Smart Missile
The Zabat carries a single heavy missile, which carries enough of a payload to do a considerable amount of damage to a target. Unfortunately, it's only suited to hitting ground targets, but since it's a smart missile, the pilot need not spend an undue amount of time trying to lock on to its target.
