The Savoy Limerick opening night programme :  National Anthem played by Alban Chambers on the Compton Organ. Speeches, Pathé Gazette (newsreel), Musical Mood No 1 (travelogue), Mickey's Kangaroo (Cartoon) , Tortoise & the Hare (Cartoon), Interval organ recital, Brewster's Millions (main film) Organ finale, National Anthem.

 

One later organist at the Savoy Cinema was Stanley Bowyer.  In time  his son Brendan was to become famous as a singer in Ireland and overseas.
