SPECULATION & LEGEND
The Joseph Springett born in1804 may not be Harriet's actual father, this is just a guess at  the moment.  Frederick Greenfield is shown as a surgeon on Harriet's marriage certificate,  was he a ship's surgeon? Legend says that he was lost at sea. Was Mary Roofe originally   Mary Springett or Mary Greenfield?
