Survivor Africa's "Big Tom"

On one cold snowy night in Feburary 2002, Big Tom (aka Tom Buchanan) whom made it to the top four on CBS's Survivor Africa, visited the Okanagan Valley to give us a big howdy "how ya doin" greeting.   How did this happen...you might ask.  Well, we went for a tasty rib dinner at KT's Restaurant to watch the premier of "Survivor Marquesas", and Big Tom was there to greet us.

Big Tom made the rounds, greeted, visited and chit-chatted with every single person.  He told us what it was like in Africa...to be on "Survivor" and told us stories about the rest of the cast.   Althought he didn't see any basenji's, he saw elephants, lions and other african creatures.  Oh...and those bugs and that hot African sun!

We had such a good time visiting Big Tom here in our little town. Even though he didn't win the million dollars, on Survivor Africa, he made "us" feel like a million with his genuine hospitality.  Big Tom...we welcome you back here, to visit us any time!!!

I Partied With Big Tom...and Survived

Hey Everyone...we just found out Big Tom from Survivor Africa and most recently Survivor all stars was voted one of the top most favourite survivor people.  Excellent news but, eh... we already knew he is a lovable character!
