As with most Suscom Cable Modem customers in Hughesville and surrounding areas in PA, I was upset with the slow downloads. Sometimes, I would even get downloads as slow as dialup! Granted, some of those did depend on the users I was downloading from on a file-sharing network, that still shouldn't happen often. So I found a registry tweak to enable the most allowed received window(how much speed I can use at once), and set it to around 327Kbps at 200ms, and 131Kbps at 500ms. Well, obviously, I am not going to get that, but it has increased, especially the total download throughput. Just check my screen shot here.(I drastically reduced the color and quality, and made sure no incriminating evidence was left!) So if you want to try to get more speed, click here for directions!
