» CHAPTER FIFTEEN «

The next day they went down to the police station. They filed a report. Nick and Amiee were both guarded heavily. Amiee noticed that Nick was trying to get her attention. But she was mad at him, even though she knew it wasn't his fault. She just wanted to hold him tight and make everything go away. His eye had bruised pretty bad. Amiee had some cuts and scrapes. Her stomach hurt from being kicked. Brian had came with Nick and Erin and Michele came with Amiee. They had noticed how disappointed and depressed she had become.

“Ok Ames... what's up?” Erin asked as she sat down next to Amiee.

“Nothing” Amiee replied. Her accent had faded since they had come to the states. She had started to speak like Nick.

“Come on... I know sumthin’s wrong and just tell me...” Michele said as she sat on the other side of Amiee.

“I TOLD YOU.... I DON’T WANNA TELL YOU GUYS.... IT”S NOT FAI....” Amiee started yelling until she realized how loud she was.

“I'm sorry” Erin said as she stood up.

“I'm not! Come on Amiee! I know we aren't being that pushy. You have been so depressed. Come on just tell us!” Michele said getting louder. Amiee stood up and walked out the police station, tears streaming down her face. Amiee almost expected Nick to come after her but knew he wouldn't.

“Nick?” Michele walked over to Nick, who sat with his head in his hands. As he noticed that someone was talking he slowly raised his head. “What is up with Amiee?” Michele asked Nick.

“I don’t know...” Nick said putting his head back in his hands.

“Come on Nick... I am really worried about her come on... spill it!” Michele told Nick. Nick didn't look like he had gotten too much sleep the night before.

“Amiee and I broke up last night” Nick said shamefully. They all could tell that it was having a toll on not only Amiee but Nick as well.

“Why? You were such a good couple...” Amiee said.

“It wasn't my decision!! You two are almost as bad as the guys. They all thought that I had decided on this. I didn't. Trust me I love Amiee with all my heart and soul. I never would have broken up with her if it wasn't for the conditions” he said as he stood up. He motioned to the security guards. “Just tell Amiee, that I am sorry that this all had to happen and that I love her, ok?” Nick said with a glimmer of a tear in his eye. The two girls stood in silence.

“If I ever find out who those jerks were...” AJ said as he came up from behind.

“Young man, we have already figured that one out” a young police officer told the 3. They looked at him confused. “Get this, there is this mob kinda thing goin' on in this town. Everytime some hot new group comes along these people try to take them under. It usually is a boy band like yourselves” the man said nodding at AJ.

“So we are in some undercover thing?” Erin asked puzzled. The police captain approached the group. He had overheard their conversation.

“Pretty much.” The three stood in shock. Brian, Kevin, and Howie had noticed the secrecy of the group in the corner and joined in. The officers described the people involved and told them to always be with someone else and a couple bodyguards, During this whole mess both Angels From Heaven and the Backstreet Boys were getting recognized. Their singles were both in the Top 10 singles and climbing. The two groups hadn’t gotten any news since “the incident.”
