» CHAPTER FOUR «
I look behind me, and there is Nick, smiling is thousand-watt smile. A wave of emotion runs through my body...something I have never felt before. I pass it off as excitement combined with nervousness and smiled back at him.
"Yeah, that's me!" I reply. I look him over; he is more attractive then I thought he would be...perhaps I would have to change my favorite Backstreet Boy from AJ to Nick (but shh..don't tell anyone!).
"Hey," he says. "I'm Nick." He shakes my hand. By this time, AJ, Kevin and Howie are now standing behind Nick, all smiling as well.
"Hey beautiful, I'm AJ." I blush as he shakes my hand as well, and then looks me over.
"I'm Claire," I reply shyly. He smiles at me.
"Hey sweetie, my name is Kevin," Kevin says as he shakes my hand. He looks at AJ and then leans in towards me, as if he doesn't want AJ to hear.
"Don't pay any attention to him, he's crazy," he whispers. I giggle as AJ screams "I HEARD THAT!!" from his seat. Howie says a quick hello as well, and then everyone resumes to their seat.
I am sitting in the middle of Brian and Nick, and the rest of the guys are across the aisle. Brian turns to me and gives me a heart-melting smile. He too is much more attractive in person. "Hi," he says with a slight southern drawl. "I'm Brian, you're Claire, I'm assuming."
"Yeah," I say.
"Are you excited? You were really good, by the way. You're very talented." I smile and blush again.
"Thanks," I reply. "Yeah, I'm so excited! I've always wanted to meet you guys, you're like my idols."
"Aww, that's sweet,."
"I am kind of sad to leave all my friends and stuff though," I sigh, and glance at the bag they have given me. "And school; I know it sounds strange, but I'm going to miss school."
"Yeah, it's always hard to leave the people you love," Brian says. "I doesn't get any easier, believe me." He shifts in his seat to get more comfortable. "What grade are you in?"
"I'm in 11th," I reply.
"Oh. That's good that you've gone through most of high school..I really missed not being able to go to all the regular school things," he says to me with a bit of sadness in his tone. I nod.
"Yeah, I kinda wish I had done it too," Nick chimes in. "It was hard not being able to see my friends and family." Nick then notices my bag that I'm holding in my lap.
"Hey, what's in there?" he asks.
