Bayside Gang clean up in Canberra
There were no shortage of athletes who have, or will soon, don the Bayside colours, representing Victoria at the National All-Schools Titles in Canberra this past weekend.
Golds were won by Marty Fedmowski (U/20 5000m), Andrew Dosen (U/18 DT) and Jane Denning (U/18 TJ). Marty also picked up two more silvers in somewhat depleted U/20 Steeple and 1500m races. Regular Bayside pointscorers Stu Laidlaw (U/20 400mH) and Matt Brown (U/20 DT) also scored silver in their pet events. Rounding out the medals was Thomas Moorhouse with a 3rd in the U/20 110mH, just ahead of Aaron Petersen. Hopefully both these boys can make the step up to the big hurdles and will boost our Mens team post-Xmas. Sarah Dosen also managed a 4th in the U/16 90mH and 5th in the 200mH.
Congrats also to Marty Fedmowski who has scored a scholarship thingie from the Vic Marathoners Club to the tune of $1400. Sounds way better than a kick in the pants and he's talking about using it to take a trip to Kenya.

Bayside athletes had a pretty successful night at the first round of the Tattersalls Classic. In particular it was great to see Aaron Neighbour has recovered from knee surgery.
