Firefly arrived at Cobra Island at 2400 hours. He was directed to Cobra Commander’s room to be briefed for his mission. On short notice he was called by Cobra Commander himself.

A crimson guard lead him to the Commanders room.

"Welcome Firefly, I would be pleased for your assistance on a mission. It appears the g.i. joe tiger force is going on a mission. They are trying to shut down one of our under cover warehouses on the coast of Florida. It appears that they discovered it, and know its us. They have decided to move in and crush Python Patrol from secretly been importing illegal aliens from Russia for nuclear weapons." Said Cobra Commander.

"Where do I come in on this?" asked Firefly, pleased that Cobra Commander was done talking. "You said yourself that Python Patrol is doing this, why don’t they take care of it?"

"Well, they can but I need your skills to lure them in and kill them once trapped. You wont be working alone, you will be working with Python Patrol." The Commander informed.

"How much money do I get? I also demand, 2 Uzi’s with extra ammo, 1 sniper rifle, 10 sticks of dynamite, 10 m-80’s, and land mines." Firefly demanded.

" I will give you $25,000 cobra currency, but the weapons I will not due, you get your own equipment." Cobra Commander stated a bit frustrated.

"I want real money, and no equipment no mission. Never mind the land mines and I will settle for 5 sticks of dynamite, but everything else I better get or I am out." Said Firefly.

"FINE! Deal, I just want to get this over with. I will have your equipment given to you in the morning when you leave. You will be dropped off in the swamps of Florida, we will give you map that tells you how to get the warehouse. We won’t drop you off directly at the warehouse for security precautions. No I suggest you get some sleep. You leave at 600 hours tomorrow." Cobra Commander finished. A viper came and escorted Firefly to his quarters for the night.

The next morning Firefly was equipped and boarded a Rattler. He arrived in the swamps of Florida at 700 hours exactly.

"End of the line" Shouted Wild Weasel. " JUMP OUT!"

Firefly jumped out and drifted into the swamps. He landed and started towards the base. He arrived at the base at 1800 hours after a long walk. He approached the doors with 2 guards dressed as swamp folk.

" Welcome Firefly." Spoke the guard. "We have been expecting you, right this way. Copper Head will tell you his plans." The guard showed him the way to Copper Heads room.

Firefly entered the room and Copperhead told him his idea. He planed for him to leave the dynamite in the building and a few vipers to have lure them in once in they will be blown to pieces, simple as that. Firefly sat up that night thinking of a better, plan. He knew the joes wouldn’t fall for a trick that simple. He thought and figured out a better plan, one worthy of his talents.

The next morning Firefly got up early and set up his plan. He took the m-80s and set them up inside of the building. On the way to the warehouse he noticed an old abandon bunker, the closest place for actual cover (other than trees). He thought it would be more fun if he hunted them like game then just killed them with a trick they wouldn’t fall for. Finally he told Copper Head to take his men to wait in the out skirts of the area for his call. Firefly set up on a hill nearby the warehouse with his sniper rifle out.

"Now its just a matter of time." He said to himself.

He waited for 4 hours before anything happened. Then in his sites he saw the mid sized pack of men in Tiger Force approach. He could make out a most of the faces. Duke, Hit and Run, Sabre Tooth, and Roadblock were the ones he made out. He could have taken out Duke right then, but that would have ruined the rest. They approached the warehouse and took it by force killing or capturing the few vipers inside. That’s when they realized it was a set up.

" This was easy, too easy if you ask me." Duke spoke. "It’s a setup joes. GET OUT OF HERE!" Duke commanded.

With that Firefly set off the m-80s to scare and maybe injure a few. The explosion was not a big one, one big enough to blow out all the windows on the bottom floor. The joes, now almost deaf, went running.

"WHAT WAS THAT!!?!" screamed Sabre Tooth. Just then he turned to his side and saw Duke get pierced with a bullet in the chest.

“NOOOOO!” Sabre Tooth screamed in agony. Duke was dead. Sabre Tooth wasn’t dumb though so he ran for cover.

"DIRECT HIT!" Firefly exclaimed. "Copper Head, start to move your troops in now, but keep them away from the abandon bunker, I am going to blow it sky high." He said over the radio.

Firefly took out Lifeline and Psyche-out with the sniper rifle and then checked out the bunker with his binoculars. A few of the unsuspecting joes took refuge in there.

"Goodbye joes." Firefly muttered. He smiled and activated the dynamite, while under cover. The explosion took out the bunker with the 3 joes inside. Sneekpeak, Recondo and Tripwire were killed.

The joes were in a muddle. They were running for cover this way and that, not knowing what was going on with the explosions. Then Firefly got out of cover with Uzi’s out. Flint, Sabre Tooth, and Hit and Run kept calm and held there ground.

“Its Firefly, he is the one who ruined our mission.” Flint declared. Bullets flew over head.

“Help!” was cried out. Hit and Run listened for who it was and where it was coming from. He searched around and found Dusty buried in ruble of some of Firefly’s other dynamite settings explosions.

“Are you okay?” Hit and Run asked. He was nervous cause he had no idea what to do.

“I think so.” The buried solider replied. His legs were broken from the ruble that fell right on them.

Just then Python Patrol arrived. Hit and Run picked up Dusty and jetted.

“Perfect timing!” yelled Firefly, he was cornered by Sabre Tooth and Flint, the others were captured by Python Patrol while retreating.

Copper Head ran up and socked Flint in the jaw and Firefly took Sabre Tooth. It was an even battle for Firefly and Sabre Tooth, both held their ground, but Copper Head took Flint in a second. Firefly kept circling around Sabre Tooth trying to get a square punch but, couldn’t. One punch Sabre Tooth took left him wide open in the face and Firefly took the chance. He punched Sabre Tooth square in the face. Sabre Tooth went down. Now all but Hit and Run and Dusty were captured.

“An easy fight not worthy of my abilities, eh Firefly.” Copper Head told Firefly.

“Yeah, but here is an easier part, finding a gi joe caring another gi joes. “ Firefly declared.

“Python Patrol, I want a full search of the whole area, every stone turned ‘till we find this renegade.” Ordered Copper Head.

Firefly decided to look for them himself. He grabbed a glock and a search dog. Luckily part of Dusty’s pants had torn where the ruble had fallen on him and could give the dog a sent to follow. The dog lead him to a bridge going over a stream. The bridge wasn’t the sturdiest. In the middle of the bridge he was Hit and Run, sprinting for his life.

“Hello, Copper Head this is Firefly and I found them, they are at this bridge north of the warehouse.” Firefly said over the walkie-talkie.

“Okay good we know where that is, we will be there in a second.” Copper Head replied.

”No need, I got this one.” Said Firefly. He pulled out his last stick of dynamite, he lit it and threw it on the bridge and ran. Hit and Run hadn’t mad it over the whole bridge when the dynamite exploded. He and Dusty fell to certain doom. Firefly left it at that and headed back to the warehouse. He got back to the warehouse and called Cobra Commander

“Commander, this is Firefly. I killed the last 2 run away joes,and Duke and a few others. We also captured the rest.” Firefly said.

“Excellent, you 2 will be rewarded. Now get back to Cobra Island, I have another mission for.”
