A little about me.

O.k., this is the part where I never really know what to say or write. I guess I'll just start off with the basics. My name is Jennifer, and I am 30 years old, or young, depending on the type of day I am having at the time. I am an animal lover. Some of my friends have actually picked up on calling me the Ferret Warrior. Some of the things that I like to do when sitting around the house is, playing my acoustic guitar, learning how to play mandolin (why do they make those frets so small?), doing beadwork, making hemp jewelry, playing on my hand drums. I currently have a set of Bongos, Congas, an Ashiko,a Djembe, and a Native American Hand-Drum. I also like to sew, draw, paint, sing, write poetry or songs, and I also like to read. I enjoy reading West Virginia Ghost Stories. My favorite is The Tale Tell Lilac Bush, and Coffin Hollow.

Some of my favorite movies are Lord of Illusions, The Shining (love the book also), Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Hmm, I'll make this part short, I really dig horror movies, Vampire movies, some sci-fi stuff. Basically anything that makes ya wanna curl up on the couch with your feet tucked under you.

Some of my favorite actors/actresses are Jack Nicholson, Wynonna Ryder, Johnny Depp, Juliette Lewis, James Marsters, and Drew Barrymore.

I am also very much into trying to trace down my family tree, and my roots. Its actually quiet interesting once you get into it. I've been working on it for about 7 years now, and havn't really gotten anywhere. But, it's still neat.

I take great pride in my heritage, and am of Cherokee, Blackfoot, Deleware, Irish and Dutch decent. I am also a singer with the Thunder Nation Singers and Mother Earth Beat Pow Wow Drums. I enjoy going to alot of the Pow Wows when I can. There is just something about the sound of a Pow Wow drum, and the voices singing along. It's hard to explain, but, I'll just say it's Spiritual for me.

I am also currently dating a Lakota Sioux/Apache man. He is also a Vietnam Veteran, who served in the Marine Corps from 1965-1969. He does alot of the MC work while we are on the Pow Wow trail, and always encourages me to do what makes my heart happy. He is my inspiration in so much that I do, and I love him dearly.

Alot of my musical influences/likes include, the Grateful Dead, the Beatles, Janis Joplin, Bob Dylan, John Denver, Pink Floyd, Edie Brickel, John Prine, Tori Amos, Ozzy Osbourn, Alice Cooper, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash, and quiet a few of those cheesy 80's bands...Billy Idol, and Cindy Lauper for a good example. Although, alot of people now consider me to be a DeadHead, but, I consider myself to be ME.
