Delilah Daydreams
This is little Ms Delilah Daydreams. We adopted Deliah on either 1-21-01 or 1-27-01 off of one of our vets assistants named Jaime. Jaime had called us one day about adopting Delilah because she knew that we had lost our three baby girls, and she really needed to find a home for her ferret. She had adopted two baby kittens from her vet office, and they were stressing Delilah out. I would really like to thank Jaime for calling us, because Delilah has been a wonderful ferret to have around, and is so far the best behaved ferret we have ever had. Delilah was about to turn one year old when we adopted her. Delilah doesn't complain about anything at all, even when its time to go back in the cage. She'll just crawl up in her hammock and go straight to sleep. She truely is a wonderful little girl. I use to feel sorry for her though, because she use to get left out of all the fun that the boys were having. They had a tendincy to ignore her everynow and then, not always, but enough to make me feel sorry for her. I had thought for a while about getting another female ferret to keep her company. I couldn't decide on what kind i wanted, either a Black Sable, or a Cinnamon.(We purchased another female ferret July 1, 2001. Her name is Cherise Marie, you'll find more info on her in her section.) Anyways, some of Delilahs favorite things to do is, play tunnel under my legs with Jerry, pretend she's stalking the cats, hide under the rug, or play under the rug while laying on her back, and dig at feet. Her most favorite thing to do is, climb on one of the couch cushions to where she can reach her cage, and she will climb to the top of the cage. It's her way of saying she's the Queen of there castle. Delilah has never bitten or nipped at anyone. The closest she comes to biting is when i play with her, she will open her mouth and just lay her teeth on your finger, but will never add pressure. She loves to sleep in her hammock, and in her little balloon bed. I think Delilah is either a Blaze or a Panda ferret, but i am unsure, so if anyone could tell me, thanks! When we adopted Delilah, Jaime also gave us Delilah's cage, toys, blankets, food, ferret litter, and litter pan. So, now we have two three story cages connected together at the bottom level. I call it there mansion. They call it home. I am so grateful that God has blessed me with all of the glorious critters, and i really hope to have them for a very long time. I love you Delilah.
On the morning of August the 4th of 2004, the lady who lived below us in our apartment building caught fire. Unfortanantly, Delilah was one of those to perish. The firemen were able to save the bodies of all 7 that had passed in the flames. Only one survived, that is RubyClaire. Delilah was my little delicate flower. She was so small, so petite, and so beautiful. She was deaf, but, that never stopped her from grabbing hold of a sock, while on your foot, and shaking her head like mad. She would gently bite your "fleas", even if you didnt have any. She was the only little one that wouldnt go totally limp from being scruffed for toenail trims. Her little paws would slowly come up, and rub her eyes or cover her mouth while clipping her nails. Delilah loved to follow the cats, and cause them terror and torment, by loving on then. Mommy misses you Lilah....alot.
Deliah came to me in a dream not to long ago, I was taking pictures with a digital camera of a hummingbird. Next thing I knew there were 4 or 5 hummingbirds. And to look back at the hummers on the digi cams screen, in the background was a transparent Delilah in the middle of all the hummers. In some cultures, people view the Hummingbird as happyness and joy. So, it is my belief, that Delilah was trying to let me know, that she is happy. It's nice to know that even in death, our pets still think of us.

Delilah was a woman, she was fine and
fair! She had good looks - God knows - and coal black hair. Delilah she gained
old Sampson's mind, When first he saw this woman, she looked so fine. Delilah
she climbed up on Sampson's knee, Said tell me where your strength lies, if
you please. Then she spoke so kind, she talked so fair, That Sampson said,
Delilah you cut off my hair. You can shave my head, cleanse my hand, My strength
comes as natural as any other man. If I had my way, If I had my way, If I
had my way, I would tear this whole building down! You read about Sampson,
all from his birth, He was the strongest man ever had lived on earth. One
day while Sampson was walking along, Looked down on the ground he saw an old
jaw bone. Then he stretched out his arm and his chains broke like threads,
And when he got to move, ten thousand were dead. If I had my way, If I had
my way, If I had my way, I would tear this whole building down! Now Sampson
and the lion, they got in attack, And Sampson he walked up on the lion's back.
You read about this lion, he killed a man with his paw, Sampson got hands
up round the lion's jaw. He ripped that beast, killed it dead, And the bees
made honey in the lion's head. If I had my way, If I had my way, If I had
my way, I would tear this whole building down!
