Jerry Nibbles

This is little Jerry Nibbles, although he's not so little anymore. We brought Jerry into our family on 1-5-01, the day that China passed on. Me and my mother in law went to the pet store in hopes to find a ferret alot like China to help ease the pain of loosing her. Well, we got to the pet store, and was looking at all the beautiful babies, and we had two picked out, Jerry and a lovely little cinnamon female. We ended up taking them both into a play room to decide who to bring home. It was a very hard decision, because they both were very good little ferrets, but we chose Jerry because his coloring was so close to Chinas. I believe that Jerry is a Blaze/Panda mixed ferret, but am not for sure. If anyone could tell me, i would be grateful. After we had brought Jerry home, we could not believe the size difference in him and Rueben, considering they were only a few weeks apart in age. Rueben bullied Jerry around for a while, but after a bit Jerry grew up,and can hold his own now. Jerry did get to meet Matilda, but he didnt really get to play with her very much, because she was sick. He got his middle name Nibbles because when he first got home, he loved to nibble ever so gently on your fingers, or whatever was around. He soon grew out of that, he would also fall asleep in your lap. He grew out of that too, but sometimes, if were lucky, we can pick him up while he's asleep, and he'll lay there for a long time. Some of Jerry's favorite things to do are, play hide n seek in the pvc pipe, play with Cassidy, play tunnels under my legs with Delilah, crawl in the cat or dog food bag, and he loves to get in the water bowls and splash all the water out onto the floor and on himself. Jerry is a very good ferret, and don't bite. Every now and then he'll nip your foot while hes trying to pull off your sock. He's a very sweet ferret and likes to have his ears rubbed. Thanks for being you Jerry, we love ya!

On the morning of August the 4th of 2004, the lady who lived below us in our apartment building caught fire. Unfortanantly, Jerry was one of those to perish. The firemen were able to save the bodies of all 7 that had passed in the flames. Only one survived, that is RubyClaire. Jerry was my little man. He too, was a little cuddle bug. He liked to have his ears rubbed, and to be tickled on his belly while being held. Jerry was also partially deaf. He was the one who was always eager to get into anything he wasnt supposed to be in. Eventually, me and Dan would joke around, and when we couldn't find something, or when anything went wrong, we would always say, "Ah, Jerry musta done it." or, we would just say, we'll blame it on Jerry. He too, was a really hard loss on me. Me and my ex had gotten Jerry as a gift when we lost out little China to the Rainbow Bridge. I'm really gonna miss alla these little guys n' gals. Jerry was also my little camera man. He had a way to touch peoples hearts with his photogenic ways. Jerry was really something special, and there for a real long time, him and my old cat Cassidy were the best of friends. Well my little friend, your mommy sure is going to miss you. Until we meet again, much love.

If my words did glow ,with the gold of sunshine, And my tunes were played on the harp unstrung, Would you hear my voice come through the music? Would you hold it near, as it were your own? It's a hand me down, the thoughts are broken, Perhaps they're better left unsung. I don't know, don't really care, Let there be songs to fill the air. Ripple in still water, When there is no pebble tossed, Nor wind to blow. Reach out your hand, if your cup be empty, If your cup is full may it be again. Let it be known ,there is a fountain, That was not made by the hands of man. There is a road, no simple highway, Between the dawn and the dark of night. And if you go, no-one may follow, That path is for your steps alone. Ripple in still water, When there is no pebble tossed, Nor wind to blow. You who choose ,to lead must follow, But if you fall, you fall alone. If you should stand, then who's to guide you, If I knew the way, I would take you home.
