RubyClaire
It was a normal afternoon on December 21, 2001. I had just gotten off of work, while pulling into the driveway, i noticed my Mother in Law's truck pulled into it. So, me and my hubby pull in and i go up to her truck to talk to her. She started talking about how she went to this pet store to try to find my husband a silver ferret for Christmas, but, she had no luck. About that time, her purse started hopping and bouncing. I laughed and said uh, your pocket book is alive. I was expecting a little silver ferret to pop out, so she could surprise my husband with it, but, she reached over and unzipped her purse, and out came this beautiful little Cinnamon colored ferret girl. She handed me her purse, and we all came inside. We let this new little bundle of joy play around for awhile on her own. She was soooo tiny, and man, could she bounce! She spent the first few nights in our extra cage by herself, until we felt she was big enough to move in with the other babies. Some of Ruby's favorite things to do is, steal crochet covered Easter eggs, climb up people, and chew on feet and legs while your trying to walk. She's like a furry little houseslipper. Her personality reminds me alot of Tilly's, just the way that she never sleeps, and is always in full speed ahead mode. I really look forward to spending more years with you lil' RubyClaire. I Love You!

Cherise was brushing her long hair gently down. It was the afternoon of Carnival, As she brushes it gently down. Reuben was strumming his painted mandolin. It was enlaid with a pretty face in jade. Played the Carnival Parade. Cherise was dressing as Pirouette in white, When a fatal vision gripped her tight, Cherise, beware tonight. Reuben, Reuben, tell me truly true, I feel afraid and I don't know why I do, Is there another girl for you? If you could see in my heart, You would know it's true, There is none, Cherise, except for you, Except for you. I swear to it on my very soul, If I lie may I fall down cold. When Reuben played on his painted mandolin, The breeze would stop and listen in, Before going its way again. Masquerade began when nightfall finally woke, Like waves against the bandstand dancers broke, To the painted mandolin. Looking out on the crowd, who is standing there? Sweet Ruby Claire at Reuben stared, At Reuben stared. She was dressed as Pirouette in red, And her hair hung gently down. The crowd pressed round, Ruby stood as though alone. Reuben's song took on a different tone, And he played it just for her. The song that he played was the Carnival Parade, Each note cut a thread of Cherise's fate, It cut through like a blade. Reuben was playing his painted mandolin, When Ruby froze and turned to stone, For the strings played all alone. If you could see in my heart, you would know it's true, There is none, Cherise, except for you, Except for you. The voice of Cherise from the face of the mandolin, Singing Reuben, Reuben, tell me true, For I have no one but you. If you could see my heart, You would know it's true, There is none, Cherise, except for you, Except for you. I swear to it on my very soul, If I lie, may I fall down cold. The truth of love an unsung song must tell, The course of love must follow blind, Without a look behind. Reuben walked the streets of New Orleans till dawn, Cherise so lightly in his arms, And her hair hung gently down. Ahoy, old ferryman, riverboat of Charon ride, Though alive, take Reuben to the other side, For his sweet Cherise has died. It's a long lonely walk from Hell to the burying ground, Cherise may return but don't you look around, For your glance would cut her down.
