All finished! Yaay! Now of course someone is going to think of some change that needs doing. Which is fine cos this is more fun than most of the other things I have to do at the moment.

Here's a LINK to the clan page.

If you want to go see my main Highlander page follow THIS link.
Here is something I first wrote for the clan denial message board that I have decided to put here too:

What Highlander is really about

Posted by beccaelizabeth on February 14, 1998 at 04:01:21:

The main, most important theme of Highlander can be summed up in one simple word, so obvious people seem to overlook it. It is all about CLAN. Yes, thats right, clan, kinship through blood or honor, not death or Dumquat or any of those other suggestions. You just have to look at fan reaction to see it. Other fandoms form groups or fan clubs, we have clans, and I for one am very glad of that. When I find out about crap like Archangel or TB/NTB then I really need my clan sibs.

I doubt that anyone on this board is going to disagree with me, and I dont know if I want to dare the rysher forum, but here are my reasons for saying Clan is the central theme:

The central tragedy of the character of Duncan MacLeod (other than the crap the writers have turned him into now) is summed up in the way he introduces himself: Duncan MacLeod of the Clan MacLeod. But he isnt any more, is he? He got chucked out years ago.

So now he MAKES clan wherever he goes. It is why I like him, and it is what brings him and Richie together. Not just that Duncan takes him under his wing, but that Rich has that same impulse. He makes friends, he finds people he cares enough about to fight and die for. It doesn't matter to either of them that they aren't actually related by blood to anyone, they care anyway. This is why the 'supporting cast' of Highlander isnt just important, its essential. They are Duncan's clan, his family, his brothers in arms.

This is also another reason why killing Richie was so unforgiveable. I mean, DM has about a half dozen people in his clan nowadays and that number just keeps shrinking. Why the hell did they kill off Richie? Duncan alone is nothing, his strength is in the bonds he forms with others.
