Neil Gaiman

Neil Gaiman I mostly know from Sandman comics. Buy them, they are simply superb in every way. Dream, Death and all the Endless turn up
in my stories whether I want them there or not. It's the kind of work that takes up residence in the back of your head and stays there for good. By the way, did you know Death and Destiny turned up in an issue of Captain Atom? I'll dig out the issue number if anyone's interested. I mostly collect Justice League comics, and from there I wandered off collecting the titles of all the members. Nowadays I mostly read Vertigo titles. Actually
nowadays I furtively flick through comics in the shop when no one is looking because I have absolutely no money in my entertainment budget, and there are now two Highlander cons I am solidly planning on attending.

I've not yet read every Sandman comic, and I buy them individually, not in these editions. That said, I have never yet read one I didn't like, so I have no hesitation recommending the lot.
Oh and these aren't in the right order. Another one of those things I'll do when the place is up and running.

Death is Dream's older sister, and I rather like the character. I have the last part of The High Cost of Living and all of The Time of Your Life and they are simply brilliant.

I haven't actually read the book, but the TV series was outstanding, and I trust the author to do good work. I would buy it if I had the money.
With Terry Pratchett
- Good Omens
Devils, Angels, the Four Horsemen, the other four horsemen, and all the usual trappings of the apocalypse get given a unique spin. I really love this book. Go, buy it now, you will not regret it. This collaboration is darker than the Discworld series but at least as good. Depending on my mood this can be my favorite book.
