Crab Melt Appetizers
- 8-oz. package Crabmeat
or 8-oz. Imitation Crabmeat, thawed if frozen
- 1/2 cup Light Mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup Scallions or Green Onions , sliced
- 6-oz. Swiss Cheese, shredded (About 1 1/2 cups)
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Paprika
20 Sourdough or French Bread slices (About 3-inches wide)
Instructions:
Pre-heat broiler.
Shred or coarsely chop crabmeat if it did not come prepared that way.
In medium bowl stir together crabmeat, mayonnaise, green onions, shredded Swiss cheese, garlic salt, and paprika.
Place bread slices on large baking sheet. Broil 5 to 6 inches from heat until toasted, about 1 to 2 minutes. Turn bread slices over; spread each with about 1 tablespoon crabmeat mixture.
Broil 5 to 6 inches from heat until cheese is bubbly, about 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer to plate or platter an serve immediately.
Serves 4 or 5
