Texas Trash #2
- 1 Box of Wheat Chex
- 1 Box of Corn Chex
- 1 Box of Rice Chex
- 2 Jars/Cans Peanuts or Mixed Nuts
- 1 Box of Cheese Bits (goldfish, cheese-nips, etc.)
- 2 small or 1 large bag of pretzels (twists and/or sticks)
Mix all ingredients above in a large roaster pan. The larger the pan,
the easier it will be to mix.
In a medium to large size sauce pan, combine and heat:
- 2 cups of bacon drippings (fat)
- 4 sticks of margarine
Add and simmer just to boiling:
- 4½ teaspoons of Accent seasoning
- 3 teaspoons of red pepper (cayenne)
- 1¼ teaspoons of curry powder
- 6 teaspoons of garlic powder
- 3 teaspoons of Tabasco sauce
- 7½ teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce
- 3 teaspoons of chili powder
Pour liquid above over dry ingredients, mixing as you go. Be careful not to crumble up Chex mix any more than necessary. Bake in a 225°F oven for 1½ hours, stirring and mixing every 20 minutes so all dry ingredients get coated with the liquid evenly.
Let cool and store in an airtight container. ENJOY!!
