Oatmeal Cookies

• 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1 cup lard and butter mixed
• 2 eggs
• 2 teaspoons cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon soda sifted with flour
• 2 cups flour
• 2 cups oatmeal
• 1 cup raisins (boil slightly)
• 1 cup nuts

Instructions:
Cream shortening, add sugar and cream again. Add unbeaten eggs to creamed shortening and sugar and beat a bit. Add flour a cup at a time and oatmeal, raisins and nuts. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 - 10 min.
Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
