Whoopie Cakes
Whoopie Cakes
Cookies:
- 1 cup Crisco
- 2 cups Dark brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup butter milk
- 1 cup hot water
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 4 cups flour
- 2/3 cup cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Mix together. Drop by level teaspoons on baking sheet or use pastry bag for more a more uniform shape to the cookies. Bake 375° for about 10 minutes. Cool completely.
Filling
- 3 egg whites
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 4 Tablespoons flour
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 4 Tablespoons milk
- 1 cup Crisco
Whip with mixer till stiff. Refrigerate till cookies are cool. Fill cookies. Store finished cookies in refrigerator.
