Beef Brisket
- 5 pound brisket
- salt - pepper - tenderizer
- 1 cup celery, chopped fine
- 1 large onion, sliced and separated
- 1 package dry onion soup mix
- 1 large bottle chili sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1 can beer or 1 can beef broth
Instructions:
Trim fat from brisket. Salt and pepper brisket. Sprinkle with tenderizer. Place in roaster. Put celery, onion, onion soup mix, chili sauce and water over top. Bake at 350 degree for 45 minutes per pound. Last 1 1/2 hours add 1 beer or beef broth. Baste frequently.
