Chicken Fajitas
- 12 ounce boneless breast strips or chicken strips
- 2 tablespoons white wine
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 green pepper, cut into thin strips
- 1/2 medium onion, cut into rings
- 6 to 8 flour tortillas, heated
Instructions:
To prepare sauce, heat wine in heavy saucepan 1 to 2 minutes. Reduce heat and add butter. Stir in soy sauce, garlic powder, pepper and salt. Boil 1 minute and remove from heat. Dip chicken in sauce, turning to coat. Place chicken in sauce, turning to coat. Place chicken, green pepper and onion on broiler pan, 4 inches from heat and broil 5 to 8 minutes, turning the pieces midway through broiling. (You can stir-fry chicken instead.) Place chicken, peppers and onion on a platter and serve with heated flour tortillas.
Serves 3 to 4 and takes 20 minutes to prepare.
