Pecan Pie
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup dark corn syrup
- 3 eggs
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
- 1 unbaked (9 inch) pie shell
Instructions:
Combine sugar and corn syrup in a small saucepan, bring to a boil. Keep stirred. Beat eggs at medium speed of an electric mixture until blended. Gradually add hot sugar mixture to the eggs, beating constantly. Stir in butter, vanilla and pecans. Pour mixture into pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
