>Peppermint Ice Cream
- 1 quart milk
- 1 pound peppermint candy
- 1 pint half and half
- 1 pint whipping cream, whipped
Instructions:
Combine milk and candy. Cover and refrigerate 12 hours. (Candy will dissolve) Combine candy mixture, half and half, and whipped cream. Pour into freezer can of a 1 gallon ice cream freezer. Freeze according to manufactors instructions. Let ripen at least 1 hour.
You can also add about 6 broken up mints to the mixture right before you freeze it.
Yield: about 1 gallon
