Sugar Cookies
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 teaspoon lemon extract
- 4 1/2 cups flour
Instructions:
In mixer, beat butter, oil, sugar and salt. Add eggs, soda, cream of tartr, lemon extract, vanilla extract and finally the flour. Mix well. Chill. Make into small balls and press down on an uingreased cookie sheet with a fork or a small glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until light brown. DO NOT OVER BAKE!!! Dough keeps well in the freezer. Not for rolled cookies.
