2008: Opened Spring Training with Texas Rangers....optioned to minor league camp 3/14....promoted to Class AAA Oklahoma (Pacific Coast League) to begin regular season....called up to Majors by Rangers 4/29....went 2-for-2 including a pinch-hit single and a walk in MLB debut that night vs. Kansas City....belted first MLB home run 4/30 off Kansas City's Brian Bannister....overall, went 4-for-4 to begin career with Texas.

2007: Saw action in two games for Texas during Major League Spring Training....once again assigned to Class A Bakersfield to begin season....hit game-deciding three-run homer in ninth inning of opening night victory 4/5 at Lancaster....promoted to Class AA Frisco (Texas League) 5/4....hit two three-run home runs in game one of doubleheader 6/10 vs. Midland....hit .304 against LHP and .247 against RHP....also hit .333 during the 10 day games he played in during season....posted .302 average during June....slumped towards the end of the season batting just .215 from Aug. 1 to Sept. 3....joined Aguilas de Mexicali in the Mexican Winter League in October and hit .284 (25-for-88) with six doubles and four RBIs in 23 games....added to Rangers' 40-man Major League roster 11/19.

2006: Promoted to Class A Bakersfield (California League)....Placed on disabled list (broken finger, right hand) 4/28....returned to action 6/15....recorded a season-high 10-game hit streak from 7/22 to 8/2....hit .316 vs. LHP....also hit .342 during the 10 day games he played in during season.

2005: Began season in Rangers' extended Spring Training program while recovering from knee problems....re-assigned to Class A Clinton (Midwest League) 5/25....went 4-for-4 with a two-run homer, an RBI double, a walk, and two stolen bases vs. West Michigan 7/3....added a 4-for-5 outing with a two-run homer, a two-run double, a two-run single and a career-high six RBI 7/6....invited to Rangers' Instructional League program.

2004: First-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection....hit safely in first seven games of season....drove in four runs vs. Georgia Southern 3/27....homered while driving in a career-best five runs at Florida State 4/23....collected seven RBI during three-game series vs. Clemson....hit solo home run in final game of NCAA Atlanta Regional 6/6 vs. Texas Tech....4th round draft choice of the Texas Rangers....signed professional contract 6/25 for reported bonus of $300,000....assigned to Class A Spokane (Northwest League)....recorded first hit in his professional debut with an RBI double 7/2 vs. Boise....hit first professional home run 7/10 at Vancouver.

2003: Appeared in 55 games, making 46 starts....Ranked third on the team in home runs (9) and walks (30), and fourth with 11 stolen bases....Hit first collegiate home run 2/19 at Mercer....homered twice in victory over Campbell 3/4....Had an 11-game hitting streak in which he hit .404 with five doubles, two homers, 12 runs, 13 RBI and four stolen bases snapped against North Carolina on 4/4....spent summer playing for Cape Cod League champion Orleans Cardinals.

2002: Starter in center field for much of campaign....began Tech career by going 5-for-8 in two games at Georgia Southern 2/9-10....overall, hit safely in seven of first 11 at-bats....delivered a bases-loaded, pinch-hit single in the bottom of the 12th inning to beat Virginia 4/27....Went 4-for-8 in three games of the College World Series....for season, had 15 multi-hit and seven multi-RBI games....played for Orleans of the Cape Cod League during summer.

High School: A three-year letterwinner for coach Jeff Rowland at Pope High School, the same school that produced teammate Wes Rynders and former Tech star Richard Lewis, a 2001 first-round draft pick of the Atlanta Braves....Played summer ball with the powerful East Cobb Yankees program, and was the starting center fielder on the team that won the 1999 AAU World Series....Helped East Cobb win the Connie Mack World Series in 2001....Named all-Cobb County in 1999, 2000 and 2001 while playing at Pope....Tabbed to the all-Region team in both 2000 and 2001....As a junior, he hit home runs from both sides of the plate in the same game....A 50th round draft pick of the New York Yankees in June 2001.
