2008: Once again began season with Class AA Springfield....selected to start at shortstop for North Division in Texas League All-Star Game 6/25 despite .222 batting average prior to break....rebounded to hit .328 following All-Star appearance....hot stretch was highlighted by franchise-record 18-game hitting streak leading to promotion to Class AAA Memphis 7/28....also played for Peoria Saguaros of Arizona Fall League.

2007: Promoted to Class Springfield Cardinals (Texas League)....placed on disabled list following 6/16 knee injury....returned to lineup as designated hitter 7/8 only to re-injure his knee while swinging at the fourth pitch of his first at-bat....had season-ending surgery on his right knee 7/26 to clean out loose bone chips.

2006: Returned to Class A Palm Beach....demoted to Class A Swing of the Quad Cities 7/1 after leading Florida State League with 90 strikeouts through the end of June....proceeded to hit eight home runs in first 56 Midwest League at-bats, including two-homer outing 7/16 vs. Wisconsin....named Midwest League Player of the Week for 7/10-7/16...finished tied for ninth in Midwest League home run race with 15 despite playing in only 59 games.

2005: First team All-ACC shortstop....Also a first-team All-America by Baseball America, USA TODAY Sports Weekly and Collegiate Baseball....missed first three games of season due to a broken jaw suffered in an off-field incident during Christmas break....hit safely in 18 straight games 2/23 to 3/26....streak included inside-the-park grand slam 3/11 vs. Wake Forest and a second grand slam vs. Wake Forest 3/13....also drove in at least one run in each of the first 10 games of that hitting streak....delivered game-ending base hit to cap Tech's comeback victory over NC State 3/20....belted his third grand slam of the season while driving in a career-high eight runs 4/3 vs. Maryland....added fourth grand slam 5/15 vs. Virginia Tech....named Most Valuable Player at ACC Tournament....hit safely in 23 consecutive games from 4/23 to 6/5....overall, managed at least one hit in 56 of 61 games played during season including all 15 games in May....by months -- Feb.: .393 (11-for-28); March: .333 (27-for-81); April: .282 (20-for-71); May: .508 (32-for-63); June .385 (10-for-26)....taken by St. Louis Cardinals with the 30th pick of the June Draft....received $1,100,000 bonus to sign contract 7/1....assigned to Class A New Jersey (NY-Penn League) and made professional debut 7/4....successful on first 11 stolen base attempts as a pro....promoted to Class A Palm Beach 8/12 and helped Cardinals to Florida State League championship....named No. 10 prospect in the New York-Penn League by Baseball America.

2004: Demonstrated improved consistency at shortshop in reducing error total from 31 as a freshman to just 11 as a sophomore....finished second on team with 16 stolen bases....drove in four runs in games against Purdue (3/17) and Miami (4/2)....turned in a 10-game hitting streak 3/13-3/28....also posted nine-game streak 4/11-4/25....established new career-high with five RBI vs. Maryland 5/23....named to NCAA Atlanta Regional All-Tournament team....one of first 19 invited players to USA National team trials....passed on opportunity to play for Team USA despite going 3-for-8 with a solo home run and a team leading four walks, six runs scored and three stolen bases while seeing duty as shortstop, second baseman and right fielder in three games against Canada....joined Orleans Cardinals of Cape Cod League for remainder of summer....selected as starting shortstop for the East in Cape League All-Star Game 7/24 at Orleans, Mass....runner-up in pre-game All-Star Home Run Derby....ranked No. 2 among the Top 30 prospects at Cape Cod according to Baseball America.

2003: Second-team Freshman All-America selection by Baseball America....Homered in first collegiate at-bat at Georgia Southern 2/15....drove in winning run with single in bottom of ninth inning vs. Michigan 2/23....earned spot on USA Baseball National Team for summer....took over starting job at third base and proceeded to compile team-leading .431 batting average becoming only the second player since 2000 - when Team USA began using wood bats - to finish the summer above .400....summer ended prematurely after suffering high ankle sprain in loss to Nicaragua 8/5....posted 14-game hitting streak for Team USA....named as third baseman on Baseball America's 2003 Summer All-America team. Also ranked No. 2 among Team USA's top 10 pro prospects by the publication.
