Fushigi Yuugi

Fushigi Yuugi means Mysterious Play. It is about two normal teenage girls, one called Yuuki Miaka and the other Hongo Yui, who finds a book in a closed off area of the National Library called 'The Four Gods of Heaven and Earth'. When they opened the book and turned the page, they get teleported to ancient China where the story of the girl who becomes Suzaku no Miko in the book comes true. After the first few minutes or something like that, Yui gets teleported back to their own world and she begins to read the book. Miaka was the girl that found the seven seishi and protect the country Konan.
