Blinky's eyes were  almost swollen shut, and the look of exhaustion in his pallor is evident. He's talking to the extraction bird here, on the fifth day of a mission, and almost ready to head back to the Ranger Company AO. I think his face in this photo captures the essence of what a Ranger mission in I Corps was all about: high stress, vigilance, and utter exhaustion.
