| Updates 03.28.028 8There are a few new updates to report! First, check out Ben's pic (left). That's his new one in the April 2002 issue of Vanity Fair, it's delicious! Many of you are wondering why I've decided on the black and white layout. It basically started with this background picture of Ben that I really liked and it went from there. I guess you could say that I was in the mood to develop a black and white layout! Yes, I am looking for affiliates, just keep in mind that I'm looking for regularly updated sites that have good content and a nice look to them. 8Ok, here are the new additions! Added 2 upcoming movies, Added 3 rumors, Added the television schedule for April, Added 4 Ben addresses, Added 2 nominations and awards, Added 1 trivia 03.23.028 8Benjamin Bratt Online is now open! I still have a bunch more work to do though before this site is fully functional. The basic layout is up however. Today I had to redesign my index page and scan some more graphics. 8The latest on Ben is that he is coming out with his new movie Abandon in late Spring 2002, starring him and Katie Holmes. According to the official Spyglass Entertainment site: "ABANDON is a psychological thriller about Katie Burke (KATIE HOLMES) a senior at one of America's most prestigious universities. Under enormous pressure to complete her thesis and earn a top job at one of the world's most competitive consulting firms, Katie is still coping with the sudden unexplained disappearance of her first love, Embry Langan (CHARLIE HUNNAM) two years prior. Struggling to pull his life back together, newly sober Detective Wade Handler (BENJAMIN BRATT) is called in to investigate and uncovers some disconcerting facts concerning Embry's mysterious disappearance. As Katie tries to come to terms with her deep-rooted fear of abandonment, Katie must choose between past passions and new possibilities as Handler teeters on the edge of a fragile sobriety. Both are weakened by the past, each becomes increasingly dependent on the other's strength as they decide their futures. Based upon the book "Adam's Fall" by Sean Desmond, Oscar winner Stephen Gaghan writes and directs while Katie Holmes (TEACHING MRS. TINGLE) and Benjamin Bratt (MISS CONGENIALITY) star." 8Apparently, he is also working on a new project titled The Great Raid. Its release date is TBA (to be announced) in 2003. The movie is based upon the book "The Great Raid on Cabanatuan: Rescuing the Doomed Ghosts of Bataan and Corregidor," by William B. Breuer, which told of Colonel Henry Mucci's raid on a notorious Japanese death camp in the Philippines. The Great Raid is one of several Bataan Death March movies that are in development, with two others being Ghost Soldiers, to star Tom Cruise and to be directed by Steven Spielberg (about the same event, with more emphasis on the camp), and They Fought Alone (aka Fertig), to be directed by David Fincher. I found the movie synopsis below at the Upcomingmovies.com site: "Forced to retreat from the Philippines, General Douglas MacArthur promised to return. Set three years later, in January, 1945, this is a true story of Army ranger Lt. Colonel Henry Mucci (BENJAMIN BRATT), who was chosen by MacArthur to lead an effort to liberate more than 500 American prisoners of war from the Japanese camp, Cabanatuan, part of the bloody and infamous Bataan Death March. The young colonel, eager to take on this mission first, however, had to undergo a vigorous guerilla warfare training program, before leading his men, the 6th Ranger Battallion, on a hazardous rescue mission, thirty miles behind enemy lines, that they were not guaranteed to return from..." 8Quite a lot of new additions!
