"The Dramatic Reversals Occuring at Acts 10:28--13:46--18:6--28:28"

After having received "the three sheet visions" of Acts 10:9-16, Jewish Peter said to Gentile Cornelius, to whom he had just been sent:

Acts 10:28 "YE KNOW HOW THAT (IT IS) AN UNLAWFUL THING FOR ONE THAT IS A JEW TO KEEP COMPANY WITH, OR (COME UNTO), ONE OF ANOTHER NATION. BUT GOD HATH SHOWED ME (i.e., ten years after the so-called Great Commission of Mark 16:15-18; Matt 28:19,20,and The Jewish Pentecost of Acts Ch 2), THAT I SHOULD (now) CALL NO MAN COMMON,OR UNCLEAN". A profound statement, that identifies (the strictly Jewish scope) of the foregoing two scriptural events, by proving--that the ancient Levitical Law of Total Separation of Jews from Gentiles, of Lev Ch 20 was still "in effect" until Peter's "three sheet visions" of Acts 10:9-16,i.e. as follows:

Lev 20:24-26 "--I AM THE LORD YOUR GOD, WHICH HAVE SEPARATED YOU (Jews) FROM OTHER PEOPLE".

(Jewish) Christ Jesus confirmed the continuing legality of the foregoing Jewish Law of Moses, when at the commissioning of His Twelve Jewish Apostles, He said in Matt 10:5,6 "GO NOT INTO THE WAY OF THE GENTILES--BUT GO RATHER TO THE LOST SHEEP OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL". And in Matt 15:24, Christ told the Gentile woman seeking His aid: "I HAVE NOT BEEN SENT BUT UNTO THE LOST SHEEP OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL. IT IS NOT RIGHT TO TAKE THE CHILD- REN'S (Jewish) BREAD,AND CAST IT UNTO (Gentile) DOGS"--dispensationally speaking, that is.

Then, the resurrected Christ Jesus, in the re-commissioning of these same Jewish Apostles stated in John 20:21 "(AS) I HAVE BEEN SENT, i.e.(AS) above. (EVEN SO,SEND I YOU)"--solely to The Jewish Diaspora, (in) all the then known world, as also so indicated in James 1:1, and 1st Pet 1:1.

That none of the other Jewish Apostles knew about the above Acts 10:28 reversal of The Levitical Law of Separation, until informed by Peter, is plainly so set forth in Acts 11:1-18. Acts 11:1-3 also proves that until Acts 10:28, no one had been given the so called Great Commission, or the water baptism message of Acts Ch 2, unless, and until, they had received the Jewish requirement of literal circumcision! So what was the reason for Peter's "three sheet visions"?

Until Acts 10:28, a Gentile could "come to" a Jew, seeking to become a Gentile proselyte to Judahism, e.g. the Ethiopian eunuch of Acts 8:26-40. But until the dispensational reversal of The Gospel Order, of Acts 10:28, "IT WAS STILL UNLAWFUL FOR A JEW TO KEEP COMPANY WITH, OR (GO UNTO) ANY GENTILE"--for any reason!

Failure to note, and accept, the foregoing dramatic dispensational change taking place at Acts 10:28, has resulted in grave dispensational error(s), surrounding the (strictly Jewish) Great Commission of Matt 28:19,20; Mark 16:15-18, and the (strictly Jewish) Pentecostal program, of Acts Ch 2.

One should carefully note that from Adam in Eden, to Moses, atop Mt Sinai, i.e. for the first 2,000 years of biblical history, The Gospel Order was "TO THE GENTILES, AND NO JEWS"; e.g., Gen 9:18,19 with Gen 10:5,32.

From Moses, atop Mt Sinai, Ex 19:1-8, until Acts 10:28, The Gospel Order was "TO THE JEWS, AND NO GENTILES" (except the latter "came to" the Jews, as proselytes).

From Acts 10:28, until the three phase, transitional, setting aside of Judahism, at Acts 13:46, 18:6, and 28:28, The Gospel Order was "TO THE JEWS, AND ALSO TO THE GENTILES". All that occurred during this (strictly Jewish) dispensational period was that a Jew could then "go to" a Gentile, for both socializing, and for proselytizing purposes.

It is at Acts 13:46 that another inserted note will set forth other dramatic dispensational changes occurring at Acts 13:46, 18:6 and 28:28.

At Acts 13:1-4,"THE HOLY SPIRIT SAID: SEPARATE ME BARNABAS AND SAUL, FOR THE WORK WHEREUNTO I HAVE CALLED THEM".

Examined in context, we find that in the above verses, God had chosen Paul and Barnabas for the express mission of the temporary, transitional, three phase, setting aside of National Israel, for National blasphemy; i.e., for National Israel's continuing refusal to accept Christ Jesus as their (resurrected) Messiah, at Acts 13:46, 18:6, and 28:28.

As National Israel's Highest Priest, the dying Christ Jesus, had offered up an intercessory prayer for National Israel, at Luke 23:34, when He prayed "FATHER FORGIVE THEM FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO". This was The Levitical Prayer of Ignorance, of Num 15:25-31, which stated in part: "AND THE PRIEST SHALL MAKE AN ATONEMENT FOR ALL THE CONGREGATION OF THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL, AND IT SHALL BE FORGIVEN THEM, FOR IT IS IGNORANCE--". And as Peter said to The Jews, in Acts 3:17, concerning Christ's death at Calvary; "AND NOW BRETHREN, I WOT THAT THROUGH IGNORANCE YE DID IT, AS ALSO DID YOUR RULERS".

Being "IMMANUEL, GOD WITH US", Christ's dying intercessory prayer "RETURNED INTO HIS OWN BOSOM", Ps 35:13, and was immediately granted. Thus,(temporarily) forestalling God's Divine Judgement on Israel, for having slain Israel's Messiah.

As a result of the foregoing "temporarily granted" Divine Forgiveness, National Israel, would be granted a (temporary) period, of Divine Amnesty, covered by the entire (Jewish) Book of Acts. During which period, National Israel, who had rejected Israel's Messiah, in His earthly Incarnation, would be "re-offered" National Israel's Messiah--in His Heavenly Resurrection!

Many individual Jews, accepted Christ Jesus as such, e.g. Acts 2:41, Acts 4:4, but National Israel continued to reject Him, as such, e.g. Acts 4:13-22. So it was at Acts 13:46, 18:6, and 28:28, that Paul and Barnabas told the rulers of National Israel "--IT WAS NECESSARY THAT THE WORD OF GOD SHOULD FIRST HAVE BEEN SPOKEN TO YOU. BUT SEEING YE PUT IT FROM YOU, AND JUDGE YOURSELVES UNWORTHY OF EVERLASTING LIFE,--LO, WE TURN TO THE GENTILES." This was repeated first at Jerusalem, Acts 13:46. Then, on to Corinth, Acts 18:6. And finally, at Rome, Acts 28:28, with National Israel's Mosaic Gospel of The Jews being (fully transitionally ended) at each of the foregoing three locales. Not by 1/3rds, but by 3/3rds---at each locale.

And here it must be carefully noted that the Apostle Paul not only set aside The Jewish Dispensation of The Law of Moses, at Acts 13:46, 18:6, and 28:28; but he was given the unique task of creating Our Mystery Church Dispensation of Grace (simultaneously), at those same three points in time and place! However, though revealed TO Paul (at Acts 13:46, 18:6, 28:28), our Mystery Church Dispensation of Grace could not be installed BY Paul, until his third and final setting aside of National Israel's Dispensation of Law--at Acts 28:28. A point covered in greater detail, in other related studies, by this same author.

Thus we find, from the foregoing scriptural facts, that contrary to most universal teachings, The Book of Acts is not the record of the birth of Our Mystery Church, of Eph 3:1-10, Rom 16:25,26, at The (strictly Jewish) Pentecost of Acts Ch 2. Nor, is it "in view" throughout the Jewish Book of Acts. But that The Book of Acts, is simply the record of National Israel's continuing rejection of their resurrected Messiah, Christ Jesus, and their having been temporarily set aside at Acts 13:46, 18:6, and 28:28--for having done so.

Much doctrinal, and dispensational error(s), have resulted from failing to recognize, and accept, the foregoing dispensational facts concerning The (Jewish) Book of Acts! That which occurred during The (Jewish) Book of Acts, and The (Jewish) Pentecost, of Acts Ch 2 especially, was "ACCORDING TO JEWISH PROPHESIED HISTORY". While Paul plainly stated, in Eph 3:1-10, Rom 16:25,26, that Our Mystery Church was, and is, "AN UN- PROPHESIED MYSTERY"-----"NOT KNOWN IN AGES PAST".
