The entire squad of the Bethlehem Steel soccer team -- some fifteen or sixteen players -- will make the trip on the invasion of the New England states this weekend when on Saturday afternoon the opponent will be J & P Coats, at Pawtucket, R. I., and on Sunday Fall River at Fall River, Mass. Both games are American League affairs and on the outcome depends whether Bethlehem can maintain its standing at the top of the league.

The reason that the entire squad will be taken along on the trip is because the forward line and backs will no doubt comprise many reserves when the team tackles Coats. The latter is hardly conceded as opponent as formidable as Fall River and for the latter game it is more than likely that the lineup will be the same that successfully eliminated the New York F. C. in the cup competition last Sunday afternoon.

The reserves, however, should impair the strength of the Steel Workers very little for they are considered on a near par with the regulars. Their presence in the lineup is also more or less as a precautionary measure against injury so that the team can battle Fall River at its full strength.

Although Bethlehem by virtue of having played one game less than Fall River, the leading contender for the league honors, is leading the league the crowd under the wing of Harold Brittan is trailing a close second with the same number of points. This apparent deadlock is most certain to be broken on Sunday, unless, of course, the game should end in a draw which would leave neither team with any apparent advantage.

Bethlehem has lost but one game and Fall River likewise has been credited in the defeat column but once. The defeat of the New Englanders, was administered by Bethlehem in a recent game on the Steel Field, while Bethlehem's lone defeat was doled out by the New York F. C. Bethlehem has drawn but twice and won eight games while Fall River is credited with four draws and seven victories.

Whitey Fleming, of the Coats eleven, is still leading the league in the number of goals scored with a total of eleven. However, Alec Jackson, youngest member of the Bethlehem team, is pressing hard for the honors with a total of nine goals.
