Week 3 Scores
McKamikaze Highlanders 114
Yukon Jacks 94
It was a QB battle here, which should come as no
surprise to anyone. Warner had 55 for the
Highlanders, and Johnson had 45 for the Jacks.
That was about it. The Highlanders are perfect
in their first run through the division, and so
are the Jacks -- just not in the right way.
Bemay Gizzards 107
American Looney 58
The Gizzards upset the Loons this week and in a
pretty big way. If the Loons would have had a
defense, it would've been closer, but they would've
had to do an outstanding job to get close. Stephen
Davis led the Gizz with 29. Drew Bledsoe had 24
for the Loons. Both teams are now 1-2.
Mark's Mules 115
Missouri Manglers 103
Upset special! The Mules take their winless record
to Missouri and whoop up on them! Actually, it was
pretty close. Mark Brunell had 27 points and Keenan
McCardell had 22 despite the hurricane. The Denver
DS led all scorers with 33 for the Manglers, and
Brad Johnson had 29. If the Redskins' offense had
ever gotten going last night, the Manglers might've
won. The Manglers fall to 2-1, and the Mules bump
up to 1-2.
Outlanders 155
Butchers 87
In what should've been a close game, the
Outlanders crushed the Butchers. The Outlanders
got 37 from Isaac Bruce and 35 from Daunte Culpepper
and had better support overall. The Butchers got 31
from Brian Griese and 22 from Tiki Barber, but they
had two no-shows on the scoreboard. The Outlanders
are now 2-1, while the Butchers drop to 1-2.
The Dawgs 123
Pigskin Pipsqueaks 81
Jacksonville's defense was great in the rain, and
the Dawgs rode it all the way to their second win.
They had 40, Cade McNown had 25, and Tim Brown
had another 23, providing enough scoring to win
on their own. The 'Squeaks were led by Brett
Favre with 18 points. The Dawgs improve to 2-1,
while the Pipsqueaks fall to 1-2.
Meek Boys 116
West Texas Mustangs 78
Even without a QB, the Meeks can win, surprising
pretty much no one. The Meeks had 42 from
Marshall Faulk, 29 from the Bucs' defense, and
21 more from Mike Anderson. That was enough to
win it there. The Mustangs were led by Steve
Beuerlein with 29 points. The Meeks remain
perfect, while the Mustangs fall to 1-2.
Week 3 MVP: Warner again, though Johnson and
Faulk deserve consideration.
Week 4 Matchup to Watch: Highlanders vs. Meek Boys.
3-0 titanic clash. I think
the Meeks have the edge here.
