Week 6 Scores
McKamikaze Highlanders 181
Bemee Gizzards 125 OT
Remember how I said this game would be the
matchup of the week? I think I was right.
I'd like someone to double-check my math on
this one, but assuming I got everything right,
I beat Bob handily in overtime. This one was
tied at 117 going into the extra period, and
the Highlanders' superior bench won out over
the weak Gizzards' sideline. Terrell Owens
led all scorers with 38 for the Highlanders.
That 38 was equaled by the Lions' defense in
overtime. They also got 36 from the Ravens'
defense and 20 more from Ed McCaffrey. The
Gizzards were led by Jake Plummer with 33
points and Joe Horn with 29. The Highlanders'
record improves to 5-1, and the Gizzards knock
back to .500 at 3-3.
Missouri Manglers 134
Meek Boys 128
In the upset of the week, the formerly unbeaten
Meek Boys got upended by the sub-.500 Manglers.
The Manglers came out with a very balanced attack,
having all players but one score in double digits.
Travis Prentice, new to the Mangler lineup, led his
team with 30 points, and they got 23 more from the
Denver defense. The Meeks were led by Peyton Manning
with 38 points. They also got 25 from Marvin Harrison,
32 from the Tampa defense, and 21 from Matt Stover.
The Meeks are now tied with the Highlanders with 5-1
records, and the Manglers rise up to .500 at 3-3.
Mark's Mules 137
Yukon Jacks 84
The Mules kicked the Jacks this week and won by 53.
Rich Gannon was the star of the game, scoring 63 by
passing for 2 TD's, running for a third, and scoring
a 2-point conversion. The Mules also got 22 from
Donald Hayes. The Jacks were led by the Redskins'
defense with 24 points. They also got 22 from Charlie
Garner and 20 more from QB Rob Johnson. The Mules get
their second win, and the Jacks slip to an equivalent
2-4.
The Butchers 83
American Looney 60
In the defensive struggle of the day, the Butchers
edged the Loons by 23. Brian Griese of the Butchers led
all scorers with 38 points. Drew Bledsoe led the Loons
with 24 points. Both teams emerged with 2-4 records
afterward.
Pigskin Pipsqueaks 109
Outlanders 102
The Pips squeaked by the Outlanders in this game. The
Pips were led by Brett Favre with 40 points. They also
got 34 from the Miami defense. The Outlanders' high
scorer was Eddie George with 31 points. The Pipsqueaks
move up to 4-2, and the Outlanders slip to an even .500
at 3-3.
The Dawgs 145
West Texas Mustangs 96
The Dawgs stepped up and beat the Mustangs by 49 this
week. Tim Brown of the Dawgs led all scorers with 38
points. The Dawgs also got 20+ performances from Ricky
Williams (28), Randy Moss (25), and Cade McNown (23).
Steve McNair of the Mustangs led their attack with 28
points. The Dawgs are now 3-3, and the Mustangs slip
to 2-4.
