Real close game this week. The Loons took their winless
selves up to Butcher-land and edged them. The Loons were
led by Mark Brunell with 48 points, Chicago defense with
26, and Jimmy Smith with 22. The Butchers were led by
Brian Griese with 44 and the St. Louis defense with 20.
The Loons get their first win and improve to 1-6. The
Butchers fall back to 2-5.
Mark's Mules 125
Meek Boys 104
Big upset here with the Meeks falling to the Mules. The
Mules were led by Jon Kitna with 35, Anthony Thomas with
24, and the Jets' defense with 22. The Meeks were led by
Peyton Manning with 35 and Marvin Harrison with 22. The
Mules move up to 3-4, and the Meeks drop to 5-2.
Missouri Manglers 134
Pigskin Pipsqueaks 56
In the General Tires Blowout of the Week, the Manglers
ripped the 'Squeaks by 78 points. The Manglers were led
by Jeff Garcia with 42 points and got 34 each from Rod
Smith and the Denver defense. The Pipsqueaks were led by
the Miami defense with 18 points. The Manglers obtain the
best record in the league at 6-1, while the Pips fall back
to 3-4.

Outlanders 137
In the high scoring game of the week, the Cheeseheads
outlasted the Outlanders by 23 points. The 'Heads were led
by Kerry Collins with 51 points and the New Orleans defense
with 44. The Outlanders got 37 from Isaac Bruce, 27 from
Daunte Culpepper, 21 from Martin Grammatica, and 20 from
Jerome Bettis last night. Cheese Boy moves up to 4-3, while
the Outlanders drop back to a similar 4-3.

West Texas Mustangs 100
Fairly close game this week. The Dawgs set up on Corey
Dillon and let him run for 51 points. The rest of the team
followed on his coattails. The 'Nags were led by Jay Fiedler
with 38 points and Curtis Martin with 21. The Dawgs retain
their division lead at 5-2, while the Mustangs fall back
to 3-4.
McKamikaze Highlanders 126

The Highlanders-Gizzards rivalry goes to those suicidal
Scotsmen by a razor-thin 12-point margin. The Highlanders were
led by Kurt Warner with 43 points and Michael Westbrook with 25.
The Gizzards were led by Joe Horn with 32 points and the
Carolina defense with 29. The Highlanders improve to 3-4, while
the Gizzards fall back to the same 3-4 record.
