Week 9 Scores

Week #9 (InterDivisional)

American Looney 111
Pigskin Pipsqueaks 93

The Loons pick up their second win of the season with an
upset win over the Pipsqueaks. The Looney were led by
Duce Staley with 37 points and Mark Brunell with 28.
Brett Favre led all scorers with 40 for the Pips. The
Miami defense chipped in 21. The Looney improve to 2-7,
while the Pips fall back to 3-6.

Bemay Gizzards 124
Butchers 95

The Gizzards notch another win this week with their victory
over the Butchers. The Gizzards were led by the Carolina
defense with 30 points. They also got 26 from Joe Horn and
24 from Kordell Stewart. Brian Griese of the Butchers led
all scorers with 32 points. The Butchers also got 22 from
the St. Louis defense. The Gizzards move up to 4-5, and the
Butchers drop to 2-7.

Meek Boys 209
Cheeseheads 83

The Meeks walked all over the 'Heads. 'Nuff ced. 44 from
Marshall Faulk, 42 each from Peyton Manning and Marvin
Harrison. 35 from the Tampa defense. 20 from James
Thrash. The Cheeseheads were led by Bill Schroeder with
25 points and Kerry Collins with 22. The Meek Boys move up
to 7-2, and the 'Heads drop to 5-4.

Mark's Mules 184
West Texas Mustangs 139

The Mules rode Shaun Alexander to a high-scoring victory.
Alexander led all scorers with 60 points. The Mules also
got help from Rich Gannon with 38, Qadry Ismail with 31,
the Jets' defense with 26, and David Akers with 20. The
'Nags were led by Jay Fiedler with 43 points, Curtis Martin
with 36, and Philadelphia's 32. The 'Nags' lack of a
kicker probably didn't make much difference. The Mules
move to the positive side of .500 at 5-4, and the Mustangs
go to the other side at 4-5.

Dawgs 164
Outlanders 143

In another high-scoring affair, the Dawgs outlasted the
Outlanders. The Dawgs were led by Donovan McNabb with 47
points and John Carney with 21. All scorers were in double
digits. The Outlanders got 40 from Daunte Culpepper and 25
from David Boston, but fell just short. The Dawgs improve
to 6-3 and take the Lombardi Division lead, and the
Outlanders fall to 5-4.

Missouri Manglers 154
McKamikaze Highlanders 101

Aside from the Meek Boys, the Highlanders suffered their
worst drubbing of the year at the hands of the Manglers.
The Manglers were led by Jeff Garcia with 53 points.
Antowain Smith chipped in with 32, and the Denver defense
put up 27 more. Terrell Owens led the Highlanders with 29
points. The Ravens' defense put up 22, and Kurt Warner
added another 21. The Manglers keep their league-best
record at 8-1, and the Highlanders drop to 3-6.
