Okay, this one’s more symbolic than the other, but less spiritual. Blag.

Forest’s Lament

Blackbird singing his lil’ tune
Can’t you see the trees?
See how they hug the earth and sky
And reach up n’ to the moon

Fly into the night, blackbird
Tease the silver lords
And lead them on a merry chase
Leave her all alone

Her lonely leaves are blue azure
They’re crying out you
Don’t you see you’re hurting her?
Can’t you see her tears?

Blackbird, fly back where you belong
Back into her arms
The dangers may be many
But her subtle love is never-fading

Alrighty, that was written on an even bigger whim than ‘The White Mask', and ten times as fluffy.

Ever notice the only things I ever publish here are all written spur of the moment? My friends should know...

Anyways. Boy. Umm… I was watching a movie on TV yesterday (‘The Green Mile’. Yeah, do I suck or what? I told you I don’t go to the movies often.), and I realized that soon, it was the end of September. And then I though Aoko’s birthday’s in September. And then I remembered a Japanese site I went to earlier that day that drew a really nice pic for Saguruhead and Kaito (GLOMP!)’s birthday. And then I wondered what I should do. I might do a pic, but it was a tad late at night when the movie ended. Then, I was sitting in bed, and remembered a song I heard a couple times on the radio:

Blackbird singin’ in the dead of night
Mend your broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were always waiting for this moment to arrive
Blackbird singin’ in the dead of night
Heal these sunken eyes and learn to see
All your life
You were always waiting for this moment to be free
Blackbird fly… Blackbird fly…
Into the light of the dark black night…

Anyone else heard it? I can’t find all the lyrics on the net. Those lyrics up there probably aren’t accurate ‘cause I recorded them down by listening to the song. Anyways. When I listen to music, I like to close my eyes and picture whatever anime character I’m currently obsessed with, or whatever anime character fits the song best to either be singing it or in some kind of music video for it or whatever. Yes, I’m really that pathetic. But I do. And Kaito’s always in this one.

So obviously, the blackbird refers to Kaito. Unless you’re as dumb as a brick, you’ll also know by now I love playing with names. So the blue forest (and all that is in them) is Aoko. Duh.

Please don’t tell me I hafta explain it all again (these explanations are twice as long as the poem itself!)

I’ll just summarize it then. Mostly about Kaito and Aoko. The silvery stars and moon and stuffs refer to Inspector Ginzo Nakamori (Gin = metal. Okay, silvery metallic stuff if what I was thinking of in this poem, so sue me). Forest reaches up to moon but can’t touch it. Aoko isn’t very close with her dad. Blackbird teasing and getting chased by ‘silver lords’ (Ginzo again), that should be obvious. Forest all alone. Forest cries. Forest is sad and lonely. Sad, isn’t it. Think Icka’s ‘Sympathy for the Devil or even my ‘Dark Blue’ (sigh). Dangers in the forest include predatory animals and mops. Subtle love – Oh come on! You know what I’m talking about here! And if you don’t, then for shame! You dare call yourself a Kaito/Aoko fan! Tsk tsk tsk..
