RACIAL BIAS

- Though many people believe that prosecution of Capital Punishment cases is bias, there is no evidence available that presents this to be true.

- Many say that African - Americans are sent to death row more often, but truthfully, only 42% of people on death row are blacks.

The graph below shows that blacks have, in fact, been executed in greater numbers than whites and other races. However, when compared to the number of whites to blacks in prison, whites have a much higher percentage of being killed for their crime. The rate of whites on death row is unproportionate 49%.
