UNITED STATES AGRESSIVE APPROACH:
Compared to other Western industrialized natoins, the United States is the only nation that actively eforces the death penalty. Capital Punishment is a leading factor in the routine use of the US death penalty by helping to desensitize the obvious cruelty of killing.
Canada's use of the death penalty was abolished in 1976, abandoning capital punishment; since then the crime and homicide rate decreased. If the United States abolished the use of the death penalty, our crime and homicide rates might decrease as well; but because of the nation's underlying social tensions, the US adamently enforces the death penalty as a solution.
