I was out for a graze, it was time for lunch
I hadn't eaten very much
Out in the field, as he'd planned
The farmer snagged me, with shears in hand
I couldn't run so I baa-ed away
Never forget the sound that day
The flyin' blades, the fallin' wool
The shivering baa-s 'cause we were cold
Well, where oh where can my wool coat be?
The farmer took it away from me
It's gone to make clothes so I got to keep warm
So I can grow some more wool when I leave this barn.
Well, when I looked up, the wool was fallin' down
There were sheep standing all around
Cold wind blows right on my skin
but somehow the shears found me again
I raised my head, all the sheep baa-ed, and said
"All this torment for a little wool."
I knew it was time, the blades made their last shear
Without my wool, hypothermia's a fear.
Now my wool's gone, this sheep's an ugly sight
Why don't you buy ... cotton tonight?
Well, where oh where can my wool coat be?
The farmer took it away from me
It's gone to make clothes so I got to keep warm
So I can grow some more wool when I leave this barn.
