Once Kandu Muni was doing Tap. Indra, as usual, got frightened from his tap and sent an Apsaraa, Pramlochaa, to destroy his Tap. She succeeded in disturbing him and lived with him for several hundred years. Later they had a daughter. That Apsaraa left her daughter here on Prithvi and went away to Swarg. Then trees brought that daughter up. When she cried with hunger, Chandramaa gave his index finger to suckle upon. Her name was Maarishaa. Later she was married Daksh's 10 sons all known as Prachetaa Gan.
